Its a likable story, but not great. It feels like the middle story - you know, the one the one that really doesn't conclude any story lines and is mostly filler for the next in the series.

Here, we have a grown up Penelope Baily, she is on a hellish planet named Hades, surrounded by a species known as "blue devils" by the humans that live on the moon. A series of assassins are sent after her, with usual trips to bars and mafia headquarters. A bit cliched with spaghetti western politics.

I didn't really feel for any of the characters, including Penelope, when she made an appearance. But, I do like this world, and have the third book in the wings - hopefully it provides a satisfying conclusion. ( )
