Fantastic, accessible book on several aspects of Buddhism. Loved every part of this. I savored it. ( )

I enjoyed this introduction to Buddhist philosophy because it generally avoids the use of jargon and mystical terminology. In plain language, with real-life examples and manageable exercises, Kornfield leads his readers through the first steps in understanding and practicing this ancient way of life.
This is a volume I'd like to refer to time and again. ( )

Investigates Buddhist psychology. Full of interesting anecdotes. It does veer into the metaphysics of Buddhism but it has a complete coverage of American non-Zen Buddhism. ( )

Had it out for a long time and didn't get around to reading it.
More about the theology then the sitting.
