This was an adorable book about fears, bravery, and encouragement. The two little chickens go to the park for the very first time, and are very scared of all the toys, the seesaw, the slide, and the swings. They say they are too small and little for everything and don’t play on any of the toys. The other animals around them at the park realize this and try to help them overcome their fears. The Beaver offers to let them go down the slide on his tail to show them that it’s not so scary and that it is fun. The two little chickens slide down the slide on Beavers tail and realize that it is not scary and that it is fun! I love how the other animals encourage them and help them to overcome their fears. This is a great read to children, and it shows them to be kind and helpful to others. I would love to read this book to my future class. ( )

This was a cute story about the power of encouragement. The little chickens were too afraid to go on any of the playground equipment, moving from the seesaw to the swings and finally to the slide. Each time they were invited to join the other animals, they said they were too scared and moved along to the next part of the playground. It was not until they saw the mice and the frogs on the slide that they were finally encouraged enough to try going down the slide. When they got to the top, they were too scared to go down, but luckily, there was a kind beaver who went down the slide with them and after that the little chickens were ready to try by themselves and they had fun and all it took was a little encouragement from the other animals. This book follows to little chickens on their first adventure to the park. There's so many new things there and its a little bit overwhelming for the chickens. The chickens are afraid to go on anything at the park. Eventually, with the help and coaxing of their friends, the chickens go down the slide. They are so happy that they were able to face their fears and realize its not so scary after all and do it again and again!

I love this story and I would definitely use it with younger children when teaching them to face new challenges and their fears ( )
