A shady group of billionaires (the Council) publish a list of 15 people with a reward of $18.6 million per head causing a worldwide bounty hunt. Primarily military men, the basis for the list is unclear, but Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield is on the list. Starting at an abandoned facility in Siberia, killers are after him and the others in a non-stop series of attacks. A surprise ally assists Scarecrow, but I found there was too much action at the expense of a plot-- inciting global trouble. ( ) Dnf'd at p69. Enough chapters in to know whether this was worth continuing with. Mediocre writing. Lots of gun descriptions, and the 'hero' carrying out nigh on impossible moves to avoid dying. I'm all for alpha males doing ridiculous things but this was just one boring battle/escape after another with no character to the protagonists. I didn't care who lived or died, or why they were being chased. The head hopping pov didn't help either. 3.5 stars It took me a little while to get into this one. The beginning of the book just seemed like a cluster×××× of too many groups of people shooting at each other and everything. Once the plot evolved a little more then I started liking it more. Not my favorite but still a nice mindless action 'flick'/I mean 'read.' lol Not sure what to say! I'm totally shocked and horrified that Reilly killed off such a wonderful character. How could he???? Doesn't he know that only the villains are supposed to come to grisly ends? This book is much more violent and gruesome than the other two 'Scarecrow' books but still a thrilling adventure. After reading this series, I need to now read something slow and sedate to get my blood pressure back to normal! no reviews | add a review
