Quilters kept asking the author for more modern patterns, especially flowers, with large pieces that are easy to see and handle. Since the author's love of flowers equals her love of applique, she joyously tackled the challenge. The result is nearly three dozen beautiful applique blocks -- circle, cross, and heart-shaped wreaths, and pretty little flower baskets. Some are enhanced by simple embroidery. These patterns are suitable for any applique technique, including raw-edge fusible methods. The author provides several quilt settings, so the quilter can choose which blocks to make and drop them into the setting of her choice. A beautiful 18 inch x 24 inch flower basket is featured full-sized as a folded pull-out pattern. No library descriptions found. |
