Over the weekend, I read [The Weekend] which is set in Germany. A satisfying and thought provoking tale. Jorg is released from prison, following a pardon, having served 24 years for murder and terrorism. His sister, Christiane, takes him to her isolated country house for the weekend. She has invited a group of his old friends and his lawyer. Into this mix, Marko , a dangerously passionate young man and another stranger arrive.
The reader learns what drives terrorists to carry out their acts of violence. However, most of the group have moved on and conformed to societal expectations, but has Jorg? And who is the other young man? ( )
