This is the standard Souvenir Press football "autobiography", ghosted by a journalist, in this case David Jack of the Empire News. What makes this one so poignant is that it was done at the end of the Busby Babes' second championship season (first outing in Europe)and in complete ignorance of what was to follow. My second-hand copy was given as a Christmas present in 1957. 44 days later, half the team was dead and the author in intensive care. All the usual banalities of the genre are thrown into relief and weighted by the magic of hindsight. There was a 2nd edition with a "Munich chapter" in 1958, but that isn't the point. There are a hundred books about Munich - this was a book about the alternative time-line, and fascinating for that reason.
