Artwork is still great still and the story has gotten slightly better. Interesting things are happening. I enjoyed learning more about Soubi and Semei. I'm sort of looking forward to learning more. ( )

At the beginning of this series I was thinking "wtf is this?! what's going on? I don't understand...", not only because of the blatant homosexuality and child-predator behavior, but also the gender-confused characters. The peculiar relationship between fighter unit and sacrifice takes a little to get used to. I would not reccommend this manga as a series for manga newbies, or people under the age of 13 or so.

However, after the first chapter or so the weirdness started to make sense and the story really captured my interest. The art is amazing, even though it's hard to distinguish if the characters are male or female at first(It took me a good 3 chapters before I was positive Kio was a guy).

The plot is becoming extremely tense, but I don't want to give anything away in this review.

I just want to say that Loveless is a great manga and I eagerly await vol. 9! :D ( )
