I've only read the first book of this omnibus, but I wanted to shelve the edition that I actually read. It was okay, and I hadn't yet gone through my children's book resurgence, so maybe I'd enjoy it more now. ( )

Not quite sure how confrontations with the source of evil, death, sacrifice and responsibility count as light fantasy. There is humor in the series, but many deeply moving scenes as well. ( )

It's not too far of a stretch to say that "So You Want To Be A Wizard" made me a SF&F fan. I continue to adore the way this series blends science fiction and fantasy. ( )

Fun, light fantasy; probably suitable for pre-teens, but fun beach reading for adults, too. ( )
