Third in the "Mistress" series, and unfortunately, it's been a while since I read book 1 and I've somehow skipped book 2 [return][return]My discomfort at the modern terminology has been lessened from Book 1, primarly because she does little around dead bodies in this book - most of the story revolves around her investigations over 2 bodies discovered after Glastonbury burns down. King Henry II wishes these can be claimed to be King Arthur and Guinevere, to help put down the rebellious Welsh. I liked the basic premise of this 3rd book in the Mistress of the Art of Death series but at times, Adelia's behaviour struck me as improbable. It has been a while since I read the first 2 books in this series so I don't remember if this was how she behaved earlier... Kate Reading did a good narration. no reviews | add a review
