Written in diary format, it records aspects of the flora, fauna, geology and history encountered on the author's travels in the area. Includes colour photographs, a bibliography and an index. The author, a former world record-holding Olympic runner, was research and development manager of ICI Australia's Rural Division and a founding member of the Land Conservation Council, and is currently chairman of the Wool Research and Development Corporation.
