This is an awesome early chapter book! I love that, although it is an easy read, it still includes components of problem solving, foreshadowing, and suspense. Because the Little family could not exist in real-life, the book can be categorized as fiction.
USE: I would use this book to introduce students to literary features like foreshadowing, story arcs, and problem solving. It would also be a great book to use to create a writing prompt from.
