Description

President Will Lee becomes embroiled in domestic and foreign turmoil in this “timely and gripping”(Booklist) thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Stuart Woods.

President Will Lee is having a rough week. His vice president just died during surgery. Confirmation hearings for the new vice president are under way, but the squeaky-clean governor whom Will has nominated may have a few previously unnoticed skeletons in his closet. And rogue CIA agent Teddy Fay is plotting his show more revenge on CIA director Kate Rule Lee—the president’s wife.
Plus there are some loose nukes in Pakistan that might just trigger World War III if Will’s diplomatic efforts fall short. It’s up to President Lee—with some help from Holly Barker, Lance Cabot, and a few other Stuart Woods series regulars—to save the world, and the upcoming election.

I love the Will and Kate Lee books, however Stuart Woods creates several characters that are non-step sex. It is too much and it borders on the utterly ridiculous. Other than that flaw, the book was interesting and moved quickly. I read it in one sitting.
A nuclear weapon, a philandering new vice-president and a spy who won't stay dead are all in a days work for President William Jefferson Lee. He and his staff have to overcome surmounting problems to keep the country alive as well as his upcoming reelection try. It's a never ending battle, especially when his people don't' talk to each other and cover up the problems.

I found this story to be a bit close to what is going on in the world today - fortunately, I did like the other president with a similar name who did run the country well, in my opinion.

This is one of Woods's finest.
you know i really liked this book. it flowed well and was a fun ride. it tied everything in the end i guess?? but it was just over and i felt the ending was missing so much of the thought that went into the first part of the book. i can't decide the ride was worth it. it probably was and i was excited while reading it, couldn't put it down at a point but then it just stopped.

I tend to prefer the Stone Barrington series to the Will Lee, but I thought that this was one of the stronger Will Lee novels.
Entertaining but nothing special in the world of politics, spies, etc..
I have always liked the Will E books, this one was no disappointment
