In my opinion, the sign of a well-written book is when it gets republished after a few years, and still makes a good read.
I feel this is the case with "Jet-Lag" by Basil Copper. If you are familiar with this series, you will know that LA private eye Mike Faraday is tough, full of witty one-liners, and always has an eye for the ladies.
He has lost none of his form in "Jet-lag". As usual the plot is set in Los Angeles with an abundance of merciless killers, beautiful women and sleazy night-clubs.
I thoroughly enjoyed Copper's description of Faraday's hazardous progress through a smoggy, traffic-laden City of the Angels. You will enjoy his account of trying to find a stolen stash of money whilst trying to outwit gangsters en route.
Full marks for an action-packed and entertaining plot written in Copper's laid-back humorous style. ( )
