Do not operate heavy machinery while listening to this book, until you know what effects it may have on you.

This audiobook is contraindicated in those suffering from certain psychiatric disorders, includingâ??-but not limited toâ??-listeners afflicted with anhedonia, which is the inability to experience pleasure.

Very funny essays about the author's true to life experiences. A good "laugh out loud" book. Would be good for someone recuping from an illness, someone who likes to read but may not be up to concentrating. ( )

Hilarious and sad stories about the author's extremely messed up childhood, and attempts at recovery. ( )

I read this after already having finished Running With Scissors and Dry and Augusten Burroughs proves he can still be massively entertaining, moving, and hilarious in the narrative-essay medium as well as the memoir medium. ( )
