Book description
In order to bed Bond, M orders him to disguise himself as "Glenda Blond", so M can disguise as a Russian agent who goes for drag queens. Bond unmasks M and plots to take his place, at the same time looking forward to returning to the gay bar where they met. The jeu d'esprit though replete with gay in-jokes presents an ambiguous attitude toward homosexuality. (The Gay Male Sleuth in print and film, Drewey Wayne Gunn, 2013)
