This was an interesting look at Dooku as a Padawan and I liked the conceit of following a character over time while he interacted with new players. But like most Star Wars novels of this era, my main takeaway is how terrible Obi-Wan's life and relationships turned out to be, through very little fault of his own. Qui-Gon set him up to fail and poor Obi-Wan deserved much better. ( )
