I only read the first one in this omnibus, since I understand there's not much brainship in the second. Also, I had quite enough of the bad guys after book 1. They are just a bit overly evil. Or maybe not evil, but then overly ambitious and ruthless, and I don't see why the authors had to make them superblack. Overall, this wasn't my favorite brainship book, but there was still a brainship (well, braincity), and I just love the concept.
