I like this book about apples because there are so many mini lessons that you could incorporate with this book. For example, one part talks about all the different parts of an apple while another talks about some different kinds of apples or where apples grow. There are so many different lessons you could talk about, nutrition, life cycles or habitats. Apples are a tangible thing that almost every student in your class in your class could relate to and become more curious about as you initiate conversations with this book. I like that this can give lesson ideas and can help start to grow students interest.
