The concept of this work is similar to Barbara G. Walker's "Treasury of Knitting Patterns" and subsequent volumes. Many of these stitch patterns can also be found in her works. What is unique in this volume is the use of 2 and 3 colors for a pattern. Since the photos are in color, the reader has a better notion of how a stitch might work with a garment.
I prefer the Walker volumes because of the additional information she passes on about how to use the fabric in garments, but nonetheless, this volume is certainly useful.
