This is a very interesting story and I liked it a lot. We see the story through the point of view of Dana, with only a few scenes showing something that Dana is not seeing.

Kai is probably the most interesting character, because he’s something that doesn’t seem possible, even in a world where magic and dragons exist. He first appears as Dana’s friend and we learn later that nobody else can see him. There are also other mysterious characters, who know more than they’re saying. Even the ones that look innocent and unimportant are hiding something. Then we have the wolves, that are more than just normal wolves. They stay away from the tower and only appear at night, but they have a special connection to one of the characters. This is the only part that I didn’t like so much, because the name of that character already implies that wolves are part of his life.

One thing that I really liked, is that the author doesn’t spend pages and pages describing races and cultures -not that there are that many either, but still- and the book is more focused on the plot.

There are some good plot twists and the mystery will leave the reader wanting to keep on reading until the end. It’s a fast read with under 300 pages, but very enjoyable, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy.

Es una historia muy interesante que me gustó mucho. Vemos la acción desde el punto de vista de Dana, con sólo unas pocas escenas mostrando algo the Dana no está viendo.

Kai es probablemente el personaje más interesante, porque es algo que no debería ser posible, incluso en un mundo donde la magia y los dragones existen. Primero aparece como el amigo de Dana y más tarde descubrimos que nadie más lo puede ver. Hay también otros personajes misteriosos, que sabe más de lo que cuentan. Incluso los que parecen inocentes y poco importantes están escondiendo algo. Luego están los lobos, que son más que lobos normales. Se mantienen alejados de la torre y sólo aparecen de noche, pero tiene una conexión especial con uno de los personajes. Esta es la parte que no me gustó tanto, porque el nombre de ese personaje ya indica que los lobos son parte de su vida.

Una cosa que me gustó mucho es que la autora no usa páginas y páginas para describir las distintas razas y culturas -tampoco es que haya tantas, pero aún así- y el libro está más centrado en el argumento.

Hay buenos giros inesperados y el misterio deja al lector queriendo continuar leyendo hasta el final. Es una lectura bastante rápida, con menos de 300 páginas, pero muy agradable y la recomiendo a toda persona que le guste la fantasía. ( )

Dana, una joven granjera, es llamada por un misterioso Maestro y llevada a la Torre, en el misterioso Valle de los Lobos. Tiempo atrás, la Torre fue una brillante escuela de alta hechicería, pero hoy apenas tres personas habitan en ella. This book is about a girl named Dana who was always thought as strange or a witch when she was a kid. Her life was utterly horrible, until she met Kai. Kai was a boy who she could see, but others could not. Even with Kai, Dana still was miserable. Then one day the Maestro comes and offers to take Dana to his tower so she could train in the art of wizardry. She and Kai set off so Dana can learn magic. But what they don't know is that they are actually traveling to the adventure of their lives where they will learn more about themselves. ( )
