This is a great book for young children because it has easy words to read. It is the story of Ted who wants a red bed and shed. It expresses some rhyming words and it is great for having the children learn about making predictions about what will happen next.

A cute book for beginning readers. Apparently, this series is designed to teach phonetics systematically (or some such thing). My son learned to read very easily, though, so I didn't pay too much attention to any sort of "system." (Or maybe these books did such a good job, I didn't have to worry about it). ;) ( )
