Read about a third. Mildly interesting- 50 short (5 page) chapters on the iives of sundry women rulers. Not sure it was a good idea to include Queen of Sheba (whom Gold goes on to tell us never existed at all.) Didnt get as far as Lady Jane Grey: but was she 'remarkable' or a 'ruler'? I'm not sure much info sticks in such short accounts- might as well read encyclopedia entries - so didnt pursue it further.
