An interesting film about Katherine, liberal professor (Julia Roberts) who gets a job teaching Art History to students at an all-girls college in the 1950s. The college is very conservative, and most of the girls are just waiting to get married. Katherine tries to challenge them but gets in trouble with the authorities.

It seems very old-fashioned now, but then it set seventy years ago....
