Not only does Michael R Phillips do serious historical research and development, but he is also well versed in relationship issues of the spiritual and temporal range and especially how they affect each other. This book covers the end of the Civil War and Corrie maturing enough to know that God is enough. What I want to know from the author is how he gets in the head of a 20-year-old woman and knows what she's dealing with? You're going to want to read this one, and maybe back up to the first book and reread the whole series. I have found that I have matured a lot as a Christian reading all that the author puts into the series. no reviews | add a review

"Pursued as a Union spy within Confederate territory, Corrie Belle's desperate attempt to escape on horseback is cut short by gunfire and excruciating pain in her back from the bullet. Mercifully, the fear and pain are quickly overtaken by darkness. As Corrie slowly awakens from weeks of unconsciousness, the first face she sees is that of Christopher Braxton, the young man who found her nearly dead on the roadside and carried her to safety. As she is nursed back to health by Mrs Timms, they find that the physical damage to Corrie's body ios not nearly as difficult treat as her lingering amnesia ... As Carrie struggles to figure out who she is, she also wonders about her future. Will Christopher be a part of it? And will her faith in God's goodness stand the challenging tests ahead of her?"--Publisher's description. No library descriptions found. |
