Been a while since I've read one of Rollins Sigma novels, but I really enjoyed this. Rollins uses historical realities and weaves them together into a fun thriller. While the motives of some characters seems a bit far-fetched, it wasn't completely unbelievable. The locations are fascinating and I found myself looking up more historical information about them. Good quick read. ( )

Leuk verhaal. Helaas is hij nog beter in het schrijven van Fantasy.

James Rollins is the king of the obvious statement. 2 1/2 stars
Not a bad adventure, but I felt kind of cheated at the end with a sudden betrayal by one of the side characters. Don't know why this bothered me so much. Oh well. ( )

Another good story involving Sigma Force. Genetically modified crops and world overpopulation, a somewhat mysterious organization, hijacked by the evil Guild, with the usual religious and archaelogical mysteries. Sigma operatives, led by Painter Crowe, with the assistance of double agent? Seichan overcome the odds again. ( )

If you're already a James Rollins fan, you'll know what to expect and won't be disappointed.

For everyone else, this is a good, fast-paced action thriller in the "Da Vinci Code Genre". ( )
