This book would be appropriate for a nursery school setting. The books is about a small little monkey who goes on a journey through a forest. The small monkey feels very small until he steps up onto a rock and feels tall. This is until a slightly larger reptile happens upon him which makes him feel small again. Then reptile puts the monkey on its shoulders, tall again ! A lion appears whom is larger, now the monkey feels small again. Then he climbs up onto the lion to become tall. This repeats itself with an elephant as well as a giraffee. The monkey then falls off the giraffee and is caught by its mother. As the mom and baby monkey walk away the baby monkey waves goodbye to all his new friends. This book will help young children differentiate the difference between small and tall. the teacher can build off of that concept with items in the classroom.

Bobo the chimp finds that his jungle friends are happy to help him feel tall — but that small is still the perfect size for being safe in Mommy's arms.

When you're a tiny chimp like Bobo, it seems that everyone else is bigger than you. Luckily, all his pals, from the lion cub to the elephant to the towering giraffe, let Bobo climb on their shoulders or even their heads to give him a taste of being tall. But what if the eager little guy clambers too high? With endearingly expressive illustrations, Jez Alborough turns a moment of high anxiety into a Mommy-and-Bobo reunion in another irresistible tale of very few words-and very big heart.
