When Samantha Kingsley decides to use the dark, ruggedly handsome stranger on a stagecoach to make the man she loves jealous, she has no idea how dangerous he can be.
Hank Chavez falls for the beautiful Samantha quickly. So when he finds out she is using him, his hurt and anger cause him to go to the extreme to retaliate.
Hank wants his family lands back that were stolen during the war. His plan to force the new owner to sell puts Samantha back within reach and totally in his power.
I am so glad that Johanna gave Hank his own book. I was intrigued by him in Glorious Angel. And of course, she didn't disappoint me. ( )

I gave 4 stars... Good book. Kinda risky in some spots, but I liked well enough. ( )

Typical Lindsey historical. Emotional overload. Man done wrong. Stubborn lass (*eye roll*). Quick read. ( )

Book description
Desire flamed in their burning passions. Wealth and breeding had prepared her to be a fine young lady, yet her softly lustrous allure could not conceal the headstrong spirit which no man had conquered. Let any man try, and he faced a hellcat's fury. One man dared take Samantha Kingsley by force. With a passion he had felt for no other woman, he awakened in Samantha a desire she had never known. But this man, driven by injustice into the life of an outlaw, also wanted her father's land. And if her father didn't kill him. Samantha vowed to kill him herself. But she could not kill her heart. Though his arrogance enraged her, and his boldness frightened her, his life was hers... their destinies bound by a love not even fate could destroy.
