Description: Artist Larry Dyke has devoted his life to capturing the beauty of God's creation. His compelling landscapes, inspired by and accompanied by words of Scripture, have won the attention of collectors around the world and have hung in the White House and the Vatican. Pope John Paul II commissioned Dyke to paint Sharing the Faith, a tribute to the long role of the church in America. The artist offers some of his finest creations in Beside Still Waters. Notes: The Art of Fly Fishing will be printed on special uncoated paper as a "Special Archive Edition" in 2004. Bible verses, which served as the inspiration for each of the images, accompany each landscape in this calendar. Verses include Psalm 5:3, John 10:11, Psalm 23:2, James 4:14, Leviticus 26:4, Psalm 95:5, Matthew 6:29, Lamentations 3:26, Psalm 104:13, Psalm 57:11, Psalm 127:1, and Psalm 119:105. Larry's deep personal belief as a Christian is the driving force that guides his life and work. In his paintings, Larry captures not only the physical beauty of the great outdoors, but also the spiritual sense of perfection he views as the handiwork of God's creation. This is why each of his paintings carries a related Bible verse below his signature, which signifies what Larry thinks the true answer to life is. A native Texan, Larry began painting professionally in 1976. His first lithographs were released two years later and today he has produced more than 100 limited edition prints. Larry's art has hung in the White House and in the homes of such distinguished personalities as Steve Allen, Shirley Jones, Vincent Price, and Billy Graham.… (more)
