Lunch Lady and her sidekick Betty discover that a substitute teacher is actually a cyborg - a plan by another teacher to become the students' favorite. Lunch Lady (and all her tech gadgets) to the rescue! Three students - Hector, Dee, and Terrence - discover Lunch Lady's secret and help her out.

Fun, goofy, full of action and jokes. Lemon-yellow palette.

I give this book 4/5 stars. This story follows three kids who are very curios about their lunch lady. They want to know what she is doing when she is not serving their lunch and taking their orders. To their surprise, the lunch lady fights crime and serves justice! I think the illustrations do this book justice because they tell the story so well. I gave this book a 4 because I do feel that the amount of illustrations on each page are a lot and could feel overwhelming to children. However I do feel that this book has a great storyline and would keep most children entertained. This book would be perfect for grades 2-4

What if you found out the school lunch lady had a secret crime-fighting identity? This hilarious graphic novel is the first in comedy series of Lunch Lady books.

This book is a very fun read for kids! it is about kids who wonder about their lunch lady. They do not know who she or what she does, other than serve lunch. In her free time she is actually a superhero who fights with her kitchen tools. It tells all about her adventures, but also about how she wants to take over the school. 3rd-4th graders would love this book and the illustrations. ( )

The art style is simple, as though a child could draw it, which belies the skill on display in storytelling and pacing.
