This is book like a circular story and it begins with the question "Child, tell me, of what do you dream?" The question then goes to a flower, a butterfly, a tree, the wind, a cloud, the rain, the sun, the moon, and the Earth. At the end of the story, the question goes back to the child again. The vocabulary in the book is simple, but there are still some challenging words in the text, like "hovers," and "billows,” The paintings are soft, warm, and inviting. The one thing that I did not like in the book is the picture of the physicality of the child which seems a little bit distorted. In Some pages the child appears with no neck, and in other her arms seem stick-thin. This book shows the beauty of nature. ( )

This book is earthy and focused on nature and daydreaming. This little girl and her dog are at the park admiring its nature. She's asking nature, each individually, what they dream of. I noticed it gets more broad as the story goes on. For example, it starts with a flower, then a tree, then the sun, then Earth. At the end, she asks the Earth what does it dream of and Earth replied that it dreams of a child, dreaming of itself. The book has a beautiful theme of Earth and a child admiring each other. ( )
