Cobb, Vicki. (1985) Chemically Active! Experiments You Can Do at Home. Illustrated by Theo Cobb. New York: J.B. Lippincott.

This book of experiments is written by a former science teacher. There are over 50 experiments that are done with materials that are easily available and show kids the basic ideas of chemistry. This book is 25 years old but the experiments are still good. The illustrations are very simple and with not much detail. Because of the language of this book, it would be geared towards an older elementary school student. ( )
