The present clashes with the past when George discovers two goffins in the attic next to his bedroom. They give George a taste of surviving life by their wits while he gives them a glimpse of modern technology. Lots of issues touched on here - loneliness, parents too busy to spend time with parents, lack of understanding between generations, old people becoming unable to live independently and scared of being put in a home, the importance of family history and how it gives identity. Yet for all that it is quite an easy read. ( ) no reviews | add a review
