My first ever graphic novel, adult version.
And it was a kind of battle to read this book. I am not used to detecting from drawings who says what. It took me quite a while to figure out, that the different background colours actually meant something.

The story itself was quite straight forward, referring to, and giving roles to characters that have had the stage in the earlier books of the Stockholm trilogy.

The further I got in the book, the more I got the hang of it and the better I actually liked it.

What I don't understand is, why the text at the end of the book eas added as text and wasn't included in the novel itself. Now there are two eays of telling the story in one book and that's confusing. ( )

Lapidus' genre of "Stockholm Noir" is very well represented in this format - it's dark and cold and I really felt like a chilly day in winter Sweden throughout the story. Having Bergting illustrate the story was pretty much a stroke of genius. Although a new format for Lapidus, I feel that he understands the graphic novel concept well and has adapted his writing style to meld with the images in a flawless manner, while still keeping what is his real strength: the various character's voices that ring 100% absolutely true.
