This is a Christian book that teaches a little selfish girl about the meaning of joy and to not be greedy. This book would most likely not be appropriate for school because of its mention of the Biblical fruits of the spirit but is a great book!

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0781439701, Paperback)

Naturally, your kids never act like it's the end of the world when they don't get the toys, candy or money they demand. Okay, let's have a reality check. We know that every child is born with the tendency to want stuff and to think that they have to have it to be happy. But thankfully--they don't have to stay that way!

God Allows U-Turns for Kids books help kids make a real U-turn away from the negative behaviors like needing things to be happy toward Spirit-filled living and allowing Jesus to be the joy of their lives.

In Jingles and Joy, kids will appreciate Jessie's revelation as she learns the value of toys. Parents will love the interactive storytelling and being able to effectively communicate the second fruit of the Spirit: Joy! The limerick-style rhyming story tells about a cute puppy named Jessie and her brother Tyler as Jessie makes her U-turn choice to live in joy! The rhythms and rhymes make the story fun for parents to read! The interactive story is illustrated by former Disney artist, Christian author/illustrator Matt Whitlock.

Faith Kidz has created a series to help parents cultivate the fruits of the Spirit in their young children--God Allows U-Turns for Kids. Based on the God Allows U-Turns ministry of Allison Gappa Bottke, these nine adorably illustrated books teach kids that they can make U-Turns toward positive attitudes and behavior! This series teaches the Fruits of the Spirit, one by one, through great rhyming stories, all built around puppy siblings Jessie and Tyler.
