I very useful text on basic kata for Dan rank in Shotokan Karate-do. Easy to read and use as a reference to refresh oneself on the kata covered but it would be difficult to try to learn the kata from. Explanation of katas and bunkai are useful. All in all this is a well put together manual that is easy to read and has good photo, explanations of the kata covered. A useful tool to a Shotokan Karate-ka ( )
