"As Punishment" is a diary of a convict who has ten months remaining of a three-year sentence. This visual slice of correctional life deals with his day in, day out tribulations and his realization that he is near the end of serving his term. John Kizziar has worked as a Correctional Officer at the California Correctional Center in Susanville, California, Folsom State Prison, in Folsom, California, and a California Medical Facility in Vacaville, California. He has also spent a short and very learned experience at San Quentin Prison. He has written one other book, "Becoming a Bull," which is comprised of short stories and poems dealing with those individuals that make up the prison population and their incarcerators. The next compelling book from this author will be "Deeds," a fictional work based on the factual life of a female serial killer. Also, in the works is the back up to "Becoming a Bull," which is yet to be titled. No library descriptions found. |
