This story is about three little squirrels who find a baby bird one spring day. The baby bird is sad and the squirrels want to help it. As the squirrels are discovering all the new things that spring has brought, they try to find something for the baby bird to eat. Eventually the momma bird flies over to the baby and drops a green worm into its mouth. The squirrels are so amazed, they go home and tell their parents all about what they learned. The central message of this story is that Spring brings a lot of new things for us to discover outside. By exploring all the new things spring brings we can learn a lot about nature and what baby animals like to eat. ( )
