This 178 pg. adaptation of the original is a must read for readers of suspense and adventure. Ishmael jumps into the whaling life and takes the reader on whaling adventures under Captain Ahab. This madman is obsessed with exacting revenge on an infamous white whale, unbeknownst to his crew. This book is skillfully illustrated in pencil sketches on most every page and is printed using a large font. This edition leaves out the difficult wording of the original but is still a fantastic introductory read to a classical writer. ( )
