Like it the other volume by Bell, this again tells the story of Mrs. Apple and her assorted furred and feathered friends. Whimsical, gentle and sweet, Bell has a true knack for capturing the voices of animals. I especially love the way she renders the cats Fat George and Shoosh. This book is a real gem, one that I am surprised isn't more popular. ( )
