Christians believe that God has revealed His will to men and women down the ages. The Bible is prized as a perfect and fully sufficient record of His dealings with mankind, containing everything we need to know about His will for in general.
But how do I check out with God my own personal decisions? Is ‘sanctified common sense’ enough?
What place should I give to the advice of others, and to ‘words from the Lord’ given in good faith?
How do I know it God’s voice I am hearing, especially when things don’t turn out the way I thought He meant them to?
