The message shows the historical view of Martin Luther King, Jr. It talks about his speech and how he wanted to see the world change, for every man to be equal. He wanted peace. The book could be used in Kindergarten through second grade in a history lesson introducing historical figures.

Kurtz explains Dr. Marin Luther King Jr.’s speech in a way that even the youngest student can understand.

It’s sad that Dr. King wasn’t able to see how things changed.

This would be a good introduction book to Dr. King’s speech or himself, the Civil Rights movement, etc. After reading this book, students can research in more detail about his speech and how Dr. King used words and nonviolent actions.

This is the story of Martin Luther King's speech, I have a Dream. It explains all of Dr. King's views in a way that young children can understand. It gives a view of history for the minds of children. It describes his beliefs and what he fought for. This book would be great to read to children during Black History Month for them to better understand what they are celebrating.
