A well done graphic adaptation of Chandler's 5th novel featuring private detective Philip Marlowe. As with any abridgement, some subplots and much of the nuanced writing for which Chandler is famed has been set aside. The picture of a lone man doing his best against great odds remains. One can hope that readers may be inspired to seek out the original. This novel was also adapted as a film, titled "Marlowe" starring James Garner, with Rita Moreno as Delores Gonzolez.
