Rephaim is an awesome character! I love the parts with Kalona in them. And just when you think Neferet cannot get any worse, she does. There is a death in this book (I won't say who for the fans that have not read it), that was incredibly sad. The Cast ladies have another fantastic book to add to the House of Night collection! Yeah there is a zero percent chance that i understood this book when i read it as a kid. There is a LOT of homosexual and bisexual undertone (and overtones) in here! Additionally the authors don't do a GREAT job at representation. Its a lot of "EW i would NEVER kiss a girl! - not that i hvae anything agains lesbians though!" Its just a touch icky. but i gues thats just the time that it was written in too. I can barely believe it, but I think I might read the third book just to see what happens. This was bad. The writing style reminds me of stories I would write with my friends in middle school. Also, 3 guys... really Zoey? This series has just about every overused romance and fantasy trope. It's just too much and absurd. But I kind of want to know what happens... no reviews | add a review
