I would say this is a must read for people who want to understand who, what, and where this band is all about. The amount of tiny details truly flesh out these kids. From starting out washing restaurants to have a place to rehearse, to meeting and mingling with the bigger names in their scene, the cascade of drummers, the trips to Hamburg and other rough places, to just getting the flavor of the language makes this a page turner. Quite simply the best book I've ever read by a Welsh-Liverpudlian who used to be the Beatles manager.
