rabck from Mysscyn; Widowed Millie's sons are a mess, literally, and when one moves into her basement, she needs a solution. With the help of her read hat friends, she starts a Bachelor's Survival Class -and the results are nothing that she expected, but are spectacular ( )

I was rather disppointed by this book. The basic idea of the book is that there is a group of women who meet on a monthly basis abd this is the story of a period of thier lives.
the problem is not so much at the start where they are setting the scene as to how thier lives work. Although i did object to the fact that the reason they were called teh red hat club was not mentioned till very late in the book and at that only the name of the poem was mentioned, not even the autor.
Then things got a little silly, private jets, plastic surgery cruses, all paid for by one of the rich ladies (who had apparently worked for her money and not inherited it. It just did not ring true or possible.
the style of the book is chick lit and even in that catagory I would say that the story line was poor and ill thought through. The quality of writing however is for this catagory.
this is the sort of book that while I sort of engoyed reading it I will not want to try anything else by the same author ( )
