This is way more complicated than it should be. I was so confused. Went to YouTube and found a very helpful video that showed my how to cast on and knit in minutes and was very easy to follow. This book is going back to the library. ( )

This book isn't terrible, but the illustrations are hard to follow and there's at least one reference to a technique which is never covered in the book. I recommend Debbie Stoller's "Stitch 'N Bitch: The Knitter's Handbook" over this book. ( )

There are two different editions of this work and they differ slightly. The second edition has more web resources and shares a few patterns but has a few more in total. It also seems to be better organise and flow for the learner in a better way. ( )

I am a beginning knitter and this is one of my books that I use regularly. It has wonderful pictures and instructions for every stitch used by knitters. It explains everything in minute detail. A must have. ( )

I've made a dozen half-scarves based on everything I've learned in this book. ( )
