Do not be misled by the title into thinking that this book has no relevance in the digital age. Most digital cameras are designed to copy the handling and image qualities of the 35mm camera, the most widespread camera format of the 20th century; and many people forget that digital photography is, at heart, photography first and digital second. This book was written with the intelligent beginner in mind but has much that more experienced hands can learn from. ( )
