I find this a great book to lend to teachers who are suddenly about to have a child with autism in their classroom. It is short and easy to read, so it is quite an accessible book. Many texts on this subject are a bit intimidating and in my experience are generally not read by teachers who already have enough work on their plates.
It comes with clear headings like "Getting Started" "Do's and Don'ts", and "Frequently Asked Questions". It is organised in a systematic manner and has plenty of extremely helpful pictures and real life examples. It also has some helpful planning templates.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to anyone new to the field of working with children with autism. ( )
