There are 140 key topics covered with over 3,700 words defined in areas from home, family, workplace, and community to health care, environment, and academics. There are also historical timelines featured as well as extended learning opportunities through questions-and-answers. Not only is the vocabulary extensive and the artwork is excellent, but I loved the addition of scenarios and depictions associated to phrasing and sentences commonly used. It is a great resource for presenting vocabulary, checking comprehension, and for guided practice, and it is accessible for both teachers and students. This type of resource should be essential in EAL classrooms as well as school libraries for all ages to access. no reviews | add a review
